Seacoast Utility Authority Water Main Replacement Update 9/24/2026
Work has begun by contractors working for Seacoast Utility authority in Horseshoe Acres Club on the Water Main Replacement and is anticipated to complete in approximately one year. Videos taken of our streets and surrounding landscape were captured by Seacoast in July, 2026, which will be used to ensure that at project completion all affected areas will be restored to their original conditions or better.

Answers to some questions you may have:
Road crossings by pipe will be handled via “missile boring” for minimal disruption. Installation will require the crew to excavate a small trench on each side of the roadway at the proposed water service line location. Once the trenches are open, the crew will use a missile to install the small diameter water service line beneath the roadway. This is a trenchless installation method, meaning the roadway will not have to be open or cut for the installation of the water service line. The roadway will remain intact, helping to minimize impacts to traffic.
The equipment being used for the water service pipe installation will be a small excavator, loader, large trailered compressor. Equipment will be stored in the swale/easement area in the immediate vicinity of the work and will move throughout the neighborhood as the installation advances. Equipment will only remain in an area for as long as necessary to complete the work at that location. Seacoast anticipates being able to bore approximately seven lots a day.
Portable toilets for the crew move along with the crew along the work site.
Normal work hours will be 8 AM – 5 PM weekdays.
Approximately 200 – 400 linear feet of trench can be open during any single day. All trenches will be back filled at the end of each work day unless there is an unforeseen circumstance.
Irrigation sprinklers will be repaired in a timely manner, typically within 24 hours of damage.
Any driveway impacted will be back filled at the end of each work day unless there is an unforeseen circumstance. Final driveway and sod restoration will take place toward the end of the project or once enough driveways are affected.
Seacoast Utility Authority Water Main Replacement Past Update 3/25/2026
Phase one – completed.
Phase two – the neighborhood-wide water main replacement-is nearing completion of the design phase. Seacoast anticipates beginning the bidding process within the next two months to select a contractor. Once a contractor has been chosen, Seacoast will coordinate a neighborhood meeting to review the project details with residents. This meeting is tentatively expected to take place in late May or early June. Construction is currently estimated to begin between mid-July and early August.
